BOARD MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, April 4, 2000
Board members met in the GH Library Historical Society room at the Grandview
Heights Library.
Vice President called the board meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
MINUTES: Minutes from the March meeting were reviewed and approved.
OLD BUSINESS:
- The current roster was distributed for the 1999-2000 Historical Board and
officers
- Treasurer's Report: The January/February report was reconciled, presented
and approved.
- Subcommittee reports were given by board members:
- Membership: No report
- Technology: Wayne provided a brief report and indicated the libraryÕs
web site address had changed and might impact on our address. He is also
working with Tom and scanning the Uhl photographs
- Newsletter: Pat made specific requests for copy material. It was also
stated that the mayors and all council members from both cities receive
our newsletter
- Breezeway: Proposed that the Board discuss revitalizing some of the
displays and give them a new look. Discussion followed. A new display
re. Historic Field Day Celebrations was proposed.
- OHIO/2003: Waiting to hear from Commission
- Home Tour 2001: Discussion of possible sites continued
- Liaison Report: MC Council: Bill went and explained our mission and
programs to MC Council and while they remain uncertain as to their plans
for their centennial they voted to give the society $1000; Schools: Pat
Mooney visited Stevenson elementary second grade classes
NEW BUSINESS:
- Uhl Photographs- Tom has received a second installment of potential photos
for copying. The 13 reprint and negatives are slated to arrive the week of
April 15. Tom will ask the board to select the next installment at the May
meeting
- The Board will be the guest of Tracy and her family at the Columbus Club
April 13
ADJOURNMENT: The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m. The next Board meeting will
be held on Tuesday evening, May 2, 2000 at 7:00 p.m at TracyÕs house; Ken Frick
will be present to take a picture of the society members as part of his Year
2000 project
