BOARD MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, October 5, 1999

Board members met in the Board meeting room at the Grandview Heights Library.

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.

MINUTES: Minutes from the September meeting were reviewed and approved.

OLD BUSINESS:

• Treasurer's Report: The September report was presented and approved.
• Subcommittee reports were given by board members:
  • Membership: We have about 50 memberships paid for 1999-2000 and also 20 life memberships. A time frame to send out reminder notices needs to be developed.
  • Technology: A consensus was reached not to open up the Historical Society web site to paid advertising.
  • Newsletter: Pat: Pat will be the contact person for volunteers.
  • Breezeway: The pins are still not holding pictures in place. Maintenance is needed.
  • OHIO/2003: Tracy has the applications submitted for the historical markers.
  • Home Tour 2001: Ruthanne continues to work on possibilities and welcomes all suggestions.
  • Liaison Report: Jo Ann met with the Chamber of Commerce and they were very receptive.

• A proposed slate of officers was drafted for action at our next board meeting. The following have agreed to serve again. President--Win Keller, Secretary--Sally Kosnik, Treasurer--Jo Ann Curry. Pat has requested to not be Vice President so he can devote more time to research and the newsletter.

ADJOURNMENT: The meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m. The next Board meeting will be held on Tuesday evening, Nov 9, 1999 at 7:00 p.m at the GH/MCHS Board Room of the Grandview Library.
