OSU Professor William Herbert Page served as the second mayor of Grandview Heights from 1909 to 1912. Professor Page was an 1889 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Yale and a member of the first law class graduated from O.S.U. in 1892. He resided with his family on a 3-acre estate at 1122 Fairview Ave.

Dressed in bows and dresses, these second-grade girls are enjoying recess in the sandbox on the playground of the Grandview Elementary School. The photograph is dated 1918 and shows homes on Oakland Avenue near First Avenue in the background.

Frank Griffith (upper left) was very influential in Columbus, Ohio financial circles. Born in 1873, he was employed by the firm of Otis and Company Investment Brokers. He also founded the Daily Reporter Newspaper in 1896 and was president of the Columbus Stock Exchange. The picture of the Griffith family home is from circa 1908.

Biase Ciccone and his wife Maria opened their grocery store in a building on the corner of Westwood and Third Avenue in 1933. The building formerly housed a Kroger grocery store, then a shoe repair and barber shop.

This Fred Fixler painting was the cover of the football program for the 1960 game between Grandview and Hilliard. The Bobcats lost the contest 20-14 that night, but the team played strong games later in the year.

Sororities and fraternities were a part of the social network for Grandview High School students from 1915 until they were disallowed in Ohio by an action of the state legislature in 1960.
